SETTING OUT- ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION

Lamay Engineering Services was tasked with survey support & site engineering supervision within an electrical substation as part of upgrade works for Battery Energry Storage Systems.

We were first tasked with carrying out a lidar survey of the OLE to determine clearances and verification of spatial constraints as part of the design process.

Using our Trimble SX10 1'' we scanned the area and processed the data.

Once the design phase was finished, we started setting out the pile foundations for the concrete bases.

Next phase of works was to excavate to Pile Cut off levels and pour blinding

With the help of some very good shuttering carpenters /steel fixers we then set out all foundation bases/holding down bolts for the different structures.

Once all foundations were poured an asbuilt survey was carried out by laser scanning all structures. The screenshots below shows a snippet of the verticality survey of the erected gantry structure as part of our post installation verification checks.
